3rd: Colonel Isaac Erwin Avery June 11, 1862-July 3, 1863 Mortally wounded leading charge up East Cemetery Hill at Gettysburg, Pa.
4th: Colonel Robert F. Webb July 3, 1863- November 7, 1863 Captured at the Battle of  Rappahannock Station, Va.
5th: Lt. Colonel Samuel M. Tate November 8, 1863 - April 12, 1865 Surrendered at Appomattox, Va.
