Private Solomon Moore Company K 6th North Carolina State Troops Prior Occupation: Farmer Enlisted: June 21, 1861 For the War Where: Alamance County Age at enlistment: 26 Wounded: Mortally Wounded at Sharpsburg, Maryland, September 17,1862 Died: Prior to September 22, 1862 His 20 year old brother Harrison Moore enlisted at the same time. Harrison was killed at the Battle of Fredericksburg, Virginia in December 1862. His 17 year old brother named Eli enlisted on March 1, 1862. Eli died in a hospital of Bronchitis in January 1863.
